Inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, NASA and Jacobs TOSC workers monitor the progress as a cover, called the spider, will be attached to the top of the Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage pathfinder on Oct. 4, 2019. With the spider secured in place, a crane will be attached to it to lift the pathfinder into the vertical position.
