About this work
Inside the Integrated Processing Facility at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, a United Launch Alliance (ULA) technician helps prepare the first half of the ULA Atlas V rocket payload fairing for NASA’s Landsat 9 satellite to be raised to the vertical position on June 18, 2021. The fairings will encapsulate the satellite for its launch atop the Atlas V from Vandenberg in September 2021.
