About this work
Preparations are underway to lift the second half of the United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket payload fairing for NASA’s Landsat 9 satellite to the vertical position inside the Integrated Processing Facility at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, on June 21, 2021. The fairings will encapsulate the satellite for its launch atop the Atlas V from Vandenberg in September 2021. The launch is being managed by NASA’s Launch Services Program based at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
