About this work
Inside the Integrated Processing Facility at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, the Landsat 9 spacecraft, secured in the United Launch Alliance (ULA) payload fairing, is moved by crane toward the transfer tower for closeout operations on Aug. 19, 2021. Landsat 9 will launch on a ULA Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 3 at Vandenberg in September 2021. The launch is being managed by NASA’s Launch Services Program based at Kennedy Space Center, America’s multi-user spaceport.
