CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, technicians in the Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility-2 SAEF-2) lift the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory SOHO after its removal from the crate it was shipped in from France. The SOHO spacecraft will carry a complement of 11 instruments from NASA and the European Space Agency ESA to study the origin of the energy within the sun which reaches the sun’s surface.
