STS-86 Mission Specialists Wendy B. Lawrence, at left, and David A. Wolf confer, possibly about the Russian Space Station Mir, after their arrival at KSC's Shuttle Landing Facility for the Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT). Lawrence was supposed to be the next U.S. astronaut slated for a long-duration stay aboard Mir, but was replaced by Wolf in late July. Unlike Lawrence, Wolf has undergone spacewalk training and fits in the Orlan spacesuit used by Russians on spacewalks.
