About this work
With the help of a suit technician, STS-91 Pilot Dominic L. Gorie dons his flight suit in the Operations and Checkout (O&C) Building prior to the crew walkout and transport to Launch Pad 39A. Gorie is on his first Shuttle mission. As a commander in the Navy, he flew combat missions in Operation Desert Storm and has earned a Distinguished Flying Cross as well as a master’s degree in aviation systems.
