About this work

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — The canister containing the first Multi-Purpose Logistics Module (MPLM), the Leonardo, passes the Vehicle Assembly Building on its way to the Space Station Processing Facility. Destined for use in constructing the International Space Station (ISS), the MPLM arrived aboard an Airbus Beluga transporter. Leonardo is scheduled to be launched on STS-100 in December 1999.
