In the Vertical Processing Facility (VPF), the STS-93 crew pose in front of the Chandra X-ray Observatory, which is the primary payload of their mission. From left, the crew members are Mission Specialists Catherine G. Coleman and Steven A. Hawley, Pilot Jeffrey S. Ashby, Mission Specialist Michel Tognini of France, and Commander Eileen M. Collins. Tognini represents France's space agency, Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES).
