Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — As part of Terminal Countdown Demonstration (TCDT) activities, the STS-101 crew practices emergency egress from the orbiter at the 195-foot level of the Fixed Service Structure. Shown heading down the easily identified exit path, known as the "yellow brick road," are Mission Specialists Susan J. Helms (leading), Yury Usachev of Russia and James Voss. The TCDT also includes a simulated launch countdown and familiarization with the payload.
