STS109-E-5721 (8 March 2002) --- Astronaut John M. Grunsfeld, STS-109 payload commander, attired in the extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) space suit, completed suited is in the Space Shuttle Columbia’s airlock. Grunsfeld and Richard M. Linnehan, mission specialist, were about to participate in STS-109’s fifth space walk. Activities for EVA-5 centered around the Near-Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS) to install a Cryogenic Cooler and its Cooling System Radiator.
