About this work
STS106-709-016 (19 September 2000) --- One of the STS-106 crew members on board the Space Shuttle Atlantis, 204 nautical miles above Earth, used a handheld 70mm camera to photograph this image of the shuttle's cargo bay, a broad band of clouds and a land scene featuring Lake Ontario. Center point coordinates of the ground area are 44 degrees north latitude and 77 degrees west longitude.
