art002e014211 (April 6, 2026) - Seen side-by-side from deep space, the Moon and Earth share the frame—yet Earth appears as a small, delicate crescent against the blackness beyond. At this stage, Orion is approaching the Moon’s farside, placing the image earlier in the flyby, before closest approach during Artemis II. Though both worlds are visible, the scale and distance between them become immediately clear, offering a powerful perspective of how far the crew has traveled from home.
