About this work
AS09-26A-3741A (9 March 1969) --- Color infrared photograph of the Mississippi River between Vicksburg and Greenville as photographed from the Apollo 9 spacecraft during its 92nd revolution of Earth. This picture was a part of the SO65 Multispectral Terrain Photography Experiment. The City of Vicksburg is located in the southeast corner of the picture. Note Interstate 20 under construction running east and west. Greenville is just out of picture at top center.
