AS14-64-9127 (5-6 Feb. 1971) --- A close-up view of lunar soil, showing bootprints made by the Apollo 14 astronauts during extravehicular activity (EVA) on the lunar surface. Also visible are tracks made by the modularized equipment transporter (MET) and deployed gnomon. Astronauts Alan B. Shepard Jr., commander, and Edgar D. Mitchell, lunar module pilot, descended in the Apollo 14 Lunar Module (LM) to explore the moon, while astronaut Stuart A.
