ISS012-E-13579 (23 Dec. 2005) --- The blackness of space and airglow of Earth’s horizon provide the backdrop for this scene of the Progress 20 resupply vehicle, docked to the Pirs Docking Compartment of the International Space Station. Progress 20 launched at 12:38 p.m. (CST) on Dec. 21, 2005 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to deliver 2.8 tons of supplies, gifts, food, water, fuel and equipment to the Expedition 12 crew members onboard the station.
