ISS016-E-017499 (18 Dec. 2007) --- Astronaut Peggy A. Whitson, Expedition 16 commander, participates in a session of extravehicular activity (EVA). During the 6-hour, 56-minute spacewalk, Whitson and astronaut Daniel Tani (out of frame), flight engineer, looked for the cause of partial loss of electrical power to one of the International Space Station's two Beta Gimbal Assemblies (BGA) for starboard solar wings and examined damage to the starboard Solar Alpha Rotary Joint (SARJ).
