ISS040-E-125332 (4 Sept. 2014) --- Palm Jumeirah, protruding off the Persian Gulf Coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, is featured in this 800mm photograph, taken by one of the Expedition 40 crew members aboard the International Space Station. The municipality of Dubai is the largest city of the Persian Gulf emirate of the same name, and has built a global reputation for large-scale developments and architectural works.
