iss073e0026012 (May 6, 2025) --- NASA astronaut Jonny Kim, assisted by JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi, performs an eye ultrasound on the International Space Station. Spaceflight can cause changes to the eye’s structure and affect vision, a condition known as Space-Associated Neuro-Ocular Syndrome or SANS, so scientists monitor the eye health of crew members throughout their missions.
