iss074e0760459 (June 22, 2026) --- Laguna Verde (near the lower center) lies just south—with south oriented upward in this image—of Ojos del Salado, the highest active stratovolcano in the world at 22,615 feet (6,893 meters), located in Chile’s Atacama Region in the Andes. The International Space Station was orbiting 264 miles above the South American nation at the time of this photograph.
