Slayton, assistant director for Flight Crew Operations, talks with newsmen after examining damage to Pad 19 at Kennedy Space Center, following liftoff of the Gemini-7 spacecraft on Dec. 4, 1965. Damage was slight and will be repaired quickly for the planned launch of Gemini-6.
