S82-28705 (20 March 1982) --- Astronaut Jack R. Lousma, left, and C. Gordon Fullerton pause for a moment at Ellington Air Force Base prior to their departure in T-38 aircraft to get to NASA?s Kennedy Space Center in time for last minute preparations for their Monday morning launch in the STS-3 space shuttle Columbia. Ellington Air Force Base is just a few miles north of the LBJ Space Center.
