S84-26297 (3 Feb 1984) --- Robert E. Castle, Integrated Communications Officer (INCO), plays an important role in the first television transmission from the Earth-orbiting Space Shuttle Challenger. Castle, at a console in the Johnson Space Center's (JSC) Mission Operations Control Room (MOCR) in the Mission Control Center (MCC), is responsible for ground controlled television from the Orbiter on his shift.
