S88-E-5171 (12-15-98) — MightySat, a 705-pound U.S. Air Force/Phillips Laboratory satellite, pops out of a special canister in the cargo bay of the Space Shuttle Endeavour on its way to the begining of its Earth-orbital life. The succeeding frame shows the satellite after it left the Shuttle. The photo was taken with an electronic still camera (ESC) at 02:13:50 GMT, Dec. 15.
