S99-05678 (24 May 1999)--- Astronaut Jean-Francois Clervoy (right), STS-103 mission specialist representing the European Space Agency (ESA), "controls" the shuttle's remote manipulator system (RMS) during a simulation using virtual reality type hardware at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). Looking on is astronaut John M. Grunsfeld, mission specialist. Both astronauts are assigned to separate duties supporting NASA's third Hubble Space Telescope (HST) servicing mission.
