About this work
Sts070-309-026 (13-22 July 1995) — A close-up view of the space shuttle Discovery?s window number 6, on the forward starboard side, nearest the pilot?s station. A small impact in the window, about 1/16 inch in size, is clearly seen in the corner. Crew members told a August 11, 1995, gathering of Johnson Space Center (JSC) employees that a small piece of debris apparently struck the window during Discovery?s wing velocity vector mode.
