STS079-810-028 (24 Sept. 1996) --- Russia's Mir Space Station, backdropped over Earth's horizon, was photographed by one of the STS-79 crew members aboard the space shuttle Atlantis as it performed its final fly around following undocking operations. The STS-79 flight began with a Sept. 16, 1996, liftoff from Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center and ended with a landing at KSC on Sept. 26, 1996.
