STS087-308-023 (19 November – 5 December 1997) --- Astronaut Kalpana Chawla, mission specialist, monitors the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) of fellow astronauts Winston E. Scott and Takao Doi from her temporary station on the Space Shuttle Columbia’s aft flight deck. Chawla controlled Columbia's Remote Manipulator System (RMS) at this station.
