STS088-343-025 (4-15 Dec. 1998) --- Astronaut James H. Newman, mission specialist, holds onto a handrail while waving to the camera during one of three periods of Extravehicular Activity (EVA). Mission specialists Newman and Jerry L. Ross, (out of frame) shared three separate space walks designed to prepare for the release the first combined elements of the International Space Station (ISS).
