About this work

Single-reeded circular plate with flat well incised at perimeter; no foot ring. Underside struck twice with partial lamb-and-flag touchmark for William Elsworth above four pseudo hallmarks oriented the opposite direction: the raised serif letters "[W.]E" with two horizontal lines below, a Paschal Lamb, Britannia or Columbia seated, and an illegible figure (left-facing lion rampant), all in clipped-corner squares. One of two plates, DL*006812.01-.02.
