<i>The Hive: Or a Collection of Thoughts on Civil, Moral, Sentimental, and Religious Subjects</i> was published by Isiah Thomas of Worcester, Massachusetts in 1795. The poems and prose were selected from 100 different authors and was meant to entertain youth while teaching them to think justly, write correctly, and speak with propriety.
