About this work
Wool bunting tapered swallowtail flag. Red field with two diagonally crossed blue stripes. Each stripe runs from either the top or bottom corner of the hoist to the opposite end of the fly; the stripes cross at the fork in the swallowtail. The number "3" is painted in white in the center of the flag, to the left of where the stripes cross. White hoist with no grommets. Inscription on hoist reads "Ch'f Q. M. 3rd Army Corps".
