About this work
Pencil sketch on white paper, mounted on thick paper. Sketch shows the remains of a destroyed church. While most of the church is gone, large amounts of it are still standing. American and French soldiers stand around the structure. There is a horse and another building to the right of the church, which is in similarly bad shape. There is a tree and more remains of buildings to the left of the church.
