About this work
Mixed media on paper. Bales of hay and a large white tent crowd the background of the sketch depicting World War I supply lines. Men and American soldiers working at the the rail terminal load hay onto trains which will be sent to feed the animals used in the Allied war effort. In the foreground, men push a rail car while smoke billows in the distance.
