About this work
This blown and molded square-shaped glass bottle is marked <i> COCHLEAR</i>. Cochlearia also known as Scurvy-grass was used by sailors to prevent scurvy, a disease which results from a lack of vitamin C. Scurvy can cause anemia and bleeding gums.
