About this work

This blown and molded drug jar has a baked enamel label marked in red and black <i>PANAC MERCUR LEMER</i>. its generic blue and yellow decoration and stylized crown above the cartouche is similar to glass drug jars in the collection of the Deutsche Apotheken-Museum in Heidelberg. This bottle is illustrated on page 24 in the Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue.
