About this work
The label of this bottle is marked <i>OL LINI</i>" indicating it contained linseed oil from the flax plant. The cultivation of linseed oil has been traced back 7000 years. Flax was used for various internal and external ailments, including as a laxative and for making plasters. The pigments applied to the blown and molded glass bottle are done in the cold paint technique.
