About this work
This albarello has a predominantly white glazed background with bands of crosshatching at each shoulder. At the waist is a band of spiral vines. George Urdang, co-author of the <i>Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue</i> believed the spiral designed suggests this jar came from Florence.
