About this work
This waisted drug jar has a white back ground with stylized garland of blue and orange flowers surrounded by green leaves. At the waist is a band of gothic-style letters. George Urdang author of <i>The Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue</i> attributes this jar to mid–eighteenth century Strasbourg.
