About this work

Syrup Jar with a white and cobalt blue tin-glazed. The container is decorated with a gold-colored cartouche applied in the cold paint technique. The cartouche is flanked by two peacocks and surrounded by scrolls, vines of flowers and tassels. The center of the cartouche is painted gold, but the outline and the mark painted in black is barely visible.
