About this work
Cylindrical drug jar with a cobalt blue and red cartouche surrounded by a stylized laurel wreath. White, red and black paint has been applied to the center of the cartouche with the cold paint technique. Most of the paint in the center of the cartouche has peeled or has been scratched. The opposite side of the jar has an orange shield with black letters marked, "CROCUS", which was also applied with the cold paint technique. This jar is similar to 1991.0664.0843. The label was left blank to write in the contents of the jar whenever necessary.
