About this work
The white porcelain is covered with a transparent glaze of a vivid blue-green hue. Chinese experts called this colour 'bluish-white' (qingbai) or 'shadow-blue' (yingqing). These are descriptive terms for a group of white porcelain with a transparent blue-tinged glaze made in southern China.
