About this work

Kokai dreamed of a dragon-shaped prunus. He wrote: ‘Why does my painted prunus with its blossoms resemble a dragon? The prunus tree has transformed itself into a dancing dragon high up in the sky. To celebrate the god of spring, it is decorated with fresh blossom buds. I saw this image in a New Year’s dream and had to capture it on paper.
