About this work

Shumin created an atmospheric image with tall cedars, a theme he depicted several times. The design of this box zooms in on an intimate spot under the majestic trees, where various plants grow. They are the ‘Seven Grasses of Autumn,’ an established group often rendered on Japanese lacquer, conveying good wishes.
