About this work

Celadon bowl with moulded floral decoration. China. Song period (960 - 1279). Glazed stoneware, Longquan ware. Bowls made in Southern China also fall within the general celadon category. This celadon bowl is an example of Longquan ware which, in contrast to the celadon of Northern China, is not brown-green but blue-green. Westendorp bequest.
