About this work

Egg-shaped stoneware pot, partially covered with a white slip and an olive-brown glaze. On the body a relief decoration of four scalloped cartouches containing a flowering plant or a flying bird. On the shoulder a decorative band under the glaze in white slip. The underside is unglazed. Some chips in the rim; a crack in the rim and body. Old label on the underside with 'W081'.
