About this work
Lid of a box of thick porcelain, spherical with four round, openwork medallions and a flat knob, painted in underglaze bleu poudré (powder blue) and red. On the lid two cut-out dragons chasing a flaming pearl in underglaze red. The white knob is painted with a flower. A crack in the lid. Underglaze blue with copper red.
