About this work

Celadon bowl with moulded decoration. China. Song period (960 - 1279). Glazed stoneware, Yaozhou ware. Celadon is a European name for pottery with a green glaze fired at high temperatures. It was produced in Northern and Southern China. The main production centre was Yaozhou, in Northern China, where these bowls were made. Westendorp bequest.
