About this work
Stoneware tea caddy or chaire with an ivory lid, partially covered with a blue-brown glaze with a white, vertical stripe. The underside of the caddy is unglazed. Three old labels on the inside with 'Satsuma', 'Nagayo?/ end 17th' and 'Satsuma according to Yamanaka'.
