Fish bowl with flowering plants, animals and moulded lion-heads

Porcelain fish-shaped bowl with a globular body, flat rim, and spreading foot, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black, and gold. On the outer wall twice a tree with flowering plants. Between them twice a modeled head of a shishi (lion-dog) as ring-holders with a flowering chrysanthemum below. On the shoulder a band of guilloche interrupted by alternating whole and half lotus flowers. The underside of the wall with a band of chrysanthemums on frogspawn interrupted by cartouches with plants. The neck with guilloche and half chrysanthemums interrupted by six lobed cartouches with flowering plants (aster, zinnia). On the inner rim guilloche with chrysanthemums interrupted by lobed cartouches with a carp or a shrimp among water plants. The outer rim with hatching. On the foot a band with stylized leaf motifs. The interior and inside the foot ring are unglazed. Lion heads slightly damaged; part of the enamel on the inner rim missing. Famille verte.
